The Audiotistic Festival was held on Saturday night at the National Orange Show Event Center in San Bernandino.  The official report was about 25,000 people were in attendance.

The security was heavier than usual (due to after-events of Electric Daisy Carnival earlier this summer) and the police presents made it well known that there would be no trouble during the event.  The extra measures made it much easier to enjoy everything for the show, making it actually possible to walk from stage to stage.

Among the first performers of the night was AC Slater.  His performance on the Sound Arcade stage caused a massive pulsating effect out of the speakers on the stage.  Also, the heavy baselines were not hard to miss from Slater.  Along with the booming sound system was a giant LED setup that made the stage look like one giant 3D television screen, giving some of the best light visuals out of the four stages.

Rattling over on the Boombox stage, Bassnectar got on stage with his long hair and preceded to head bang through banger after banger. The highlight of his performance was his remix of Metalica's Seek and Destroy that had the crowed pumped and ready to mosh from the energy.

At 12:45 p.m. just after Bassnectar, Kid Cudi took to the stage with a drink in hand, ready to perform a number of great tracks that included the remix version of Day and Night as well as the classic Man on the Moon from his first mixtape, A Kid Named Cudi.

Cudi finally finished the night out with Pursuit of Happiness but appeared to have lacked the energy of the rest of the performance making the end of what was a great performance somewhat mediocre.

In terms of skill and pure face melting turntable abilities, A-Trak stood on top, making his set the highlight of the night. From the first sight of his hat, he appeared like a man hard-at-work performing on the decks. The sound of the set was pure A-Trak and fetured a very diverse set of music that could have drew any fan into the Sound Arcade stage.

The night ended with Marco V at the Speaker Temple, where the lasars were set to 11 and Mr. V's performance rocked the low hanging ceiling at the Speaker Temple stage.  At times Marco appeared to be playing a little too deep into the dreamy soundscape of trance but would quickly change it back to the more hard hitting Tech Trance style he is known for.

with its new security mesures in place and the same magnificent set up Insomniac has been known for, Audiotistic was pure win with its great mix of both Hip-Hop and Electronic Dance Music.
